She's Having A Baby
Last year at this time, Jake and Kristi were two crazy single kids in love. Now they're two crazy married adults in transition. Their dreams of a perfect life in a perfect house have turned into a series of hilarious marital nightmares. And Kristi just got some news that really ought to make things interesting -- She's Having A Baby!
Kevin Bacon (Footloose) and Elizabeth McGovern (Racing With The Moon) are Jake and Kristi, a perfect couple in an imperfect world. Their solutions to real-life problems make She's Having A Baby a wonderfully poignant and very funny look at chasing the good life.

a John Hughes film unlike your typical John Hughes film - Scopitone
This is actually a rather serious, sort of dark tale about suburban angst in the 80s - albeit still in a sweet and John Hughes sort of way.
It still seemed quite topical today - the Humanities grad struggling to make his way in the world and be a typical Provider male figure but feeling left out of the suburban world of dads and lawnmowers.
I still prefer the teenage Breakfast Club and Pretty In Pink but this was a good logical next step..to see what would've happened to all those Breakfast Club teens as they moved into adulthood. An Accurate Portrayal of Life - TheDandyist
I saw this many many years ago and vaguely remembered really liking it, so I recently rented it again. I loved it (and understood it) even more the second time around! My friend and I watched it over and over and she cried every time. I just loved this movie. We are currently looking for the soundtrack, ha ha, like we'll ever find that. But I think that the movie is a great real-life description of love, life, marriage, raising kids, and all the tough things that REALLY happen throughout all of these things. The movie doesn't sugar-coat things and have everything be perfect. It shows real life. I suggest this to anyone looking for a good movie and maybe a good cry.She Ends Up Being a Cool Chick! - JordanMichelle
My fiancee obviously threw this winner on our Zip list. When her movies arrive I'm normally like "lets get this over with so we can return it tomorrow and have it replaced with some testosterone!". This romance was bearable because they do those funny out-takes where the main character is visually offering his true feelings on what's going on. If you HAVE to rent a girly movie...this one you MAY be able to sit through.
