Sibling Rivalry
"Hilarious! An engrossing, amusing black comedy!" -Variety
Kirstie Alley (Cheers) knocks 'em dead - literally - and then becomes hysterical in this laugh-out-loud funny comedy which co-stars Bill Pullman (Independence Day), Scott Bakula (Enterprise), Sam Elliott (Fatal Beauty) and Ed O'Neill (Married With Children)!
All Marjorie (Alley) ever wanted was to become a writer: "like Sylvia Plath...only happy." But she put her dream aside to marry a doctor (Bakula)...before discovering that he has no bedside manner! Unhappy, unfulfilled and decidedly unsatisfied, she attempts to find bliss in a hotel room with a handsome stranger. But when the man she checks in with checks out for good-leaving behind only a smiling corpse and a shocking identity-Marjorie will have to cover up the body and the affair...or she may as well write off the rest of her life!

One of the Worst films ever - Mookie
The only amusement I gt out of this horrible film was singing the theme songs for each actor (they were almost all in sitcoms at the time) as they walked on the screen. One of the best comedies that no one has seen "The Tall guy" was released the same month and was far superior. It is a dumb, cheap laughs comedy. For a guy as funny as Carl Reiner is, he sure directed some stinkers.Outstanding Entertainment - Old_Video_Man
This film is A LOT OF FUN. Kirstie Alley has married into a family of doctors - every in-law is a conceited self-centred snob, except one - and she sleeps with this stranger who turns out to be her brother in-law. Then the fun begins. Excellent performances are provided by the whole cast, especially Bill Pullman a bumbling blind salesman and Jamie Gertz, Alley's sister. Carl Reiner directed a "nice little movie", using an ensemble cast screenplay where the laughs come from many directions.
