Writer/Director Blake Edwards parlays slapstick with battle-of-the-sexes brio in this gag-infused tale of a womanizer who finally grows up. John Ritter plays mid-life-crazy Zach, ready to win back his ex-wife... if he can somehow give up his randy habits. Featuring wall-to-wall verbal and physical wit, Skin Deep tops itself with a scene that, even today, remains glowingly funny and original. "I can't describe it to you. I can't show it to you," Joel Siegel of ABC-TV's Good Morning America said, "but this film has one of the biggest laughs at the movies."

I was a little let down - Bruce2
I love Blake Edward's films. Like Ritter - shame he died so soon! I was attracted by the trailer for this movie but frankly shut it down half way through. I usually watch the whole movie. Most of the laughs for me were in the trailer! I did laugh a bit but I guess I did not like the main character. The plot tries to develop a feeling of regret for him, but I just thought he cheater and deserved all he got. Ritter did act well in this! Some classic Edward's camera angles and one-on-one dialogue that really makes you think you are listening-in!john ritter is skin deep - Big_Base
this movie had me laughing from beginning to end. I haven't cried myself laughing in a long time. john ritter is definitely at his peek performance in this flick. we even see flashes of when he was so funny in three's company. i absolutely recommend this movie for evryone.
