It's 1985 and Stevo is that rare animal, a punk rocker in the Mormon stronghold of Salt Lake City, Utah. He just graduated from college with honors and now his life is a nutty roller coaster ride of rock shows, stealing cars, beating up rednecks and non-stop partying with his buddy, Heroin Bob, and his girlfriend. But with the scene getting lame and Stevo going nowhere fast, he has put his punk ideals to the test. With a choice between "No Future" and Harvard Law School, what's a guy with blue hair supposed to do?
Fueled by a classic punk rock soundtrack and hilarious, energetic performances form Matthew Lillard, Michael Goorjian, and Annabeth Gish, SLC Punk is one of punk's medcap search for a way to grow up without selling out.

SLC Punk is Hilarious good fun, If you were born in the 70's or your a punk rocker at heart you'll appreciate the intercacy's and The love of Music with a cold side dish of Anarchy.
I sympathized with Stevo and Herion Bob because they were so misunderstood, truly a fish outta water storyline. Living in Salt Lake City as a non-Moron can be a problem in 1 but also living the lifestyle of a partying, drug binged punker. Your set for some interesting tales of living on the road less taken.Legit...apparently - nelson95
A buddy of mine who grew up non-mormon in Salt Lake City gave me SLC punk and watched it with me providing play by play.
As a"punk" of the 80s I could relate to alot of this flick.
Entertaining. Worth a watch. Lillard is great as expected for a role like this. Soundtrack enjoyableInstant Classic - canuk44
This movie will become an instant classic for anyone born in the early 70's who lived the alternative scene of the mid-eighties. Well acted and quite funny at times, SLC Punk was a total trip down memory lane (no pun on the "Trip" part intended). Worth the rent!
