Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan star in Nora Ephron's wonderfully romantic comedy about two people drawn together by destiny.
Tom Hanks stars as Sam Baldwin, a widowed father who, thanks to the wiles of his worried son, becomes a reluctant guest on a radio call-in show. He's an instant hit with thousands of female listeners, who deluge his Seattle home with letters o comfort. Meanwhile, inspired in equal parts by Sam's story and by classic Hollywood romance, writer Annie Reed (Meg Ryan) becomes convinced that it's her destiny to meet Sam. There are just two problems: Annie's engaged to someone else, and Sam doesn’t know - yet - that they're made for each other.

This is one of the oldies for Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan and one of their bests.
A true romantic comedy and timeless chick flick that is enjoyed by both men and women.
Of course, the cafe scene is famous referred to in all sorts of contexts.

The story of two people who meet with a little help from the radio, 'An Affair to Remember', some kids and Rosie O'Donnell is the best of the Tom Hanks-Meg Ryan flicks.
It is heart-warming, feminine, masculine, awesome and that's all I really need to say.

Timeless peice that made Meg Ryan in my eyes a hopelessly romantic at heart. It's christmas and Tom Hanks Son calls the radio Because he's worried about his widowed dad, Meg ryans in the car driving home become emotionally involved like glue to a man who live across the country and both have never met. she hires a detective to follow him, thats when she flys to seattle to meet this mystery man and almost gets runned over. the question remains will they be together? and is it ment to happen? everyone gives top notch performance including Rosie O'Donnell who lightens the movie with great theory's and lots of humor.
