Sally Field leads an all-star cast in this side splittingly funny look at the scandal-ridden TV soap opera.
Kevin Kline, Robert Downey, Jr., Whoopi Goldberg, Cathy Moriarty and Elisabeth Shue star as the zany cast and crew of The Sun Also Sets, America's hottest "soap," where on-screen drama and off-screen craziness combine for outrageous hilarity!
There's enough dirty laundry to keep everyone in hot water in this unadulterated comedy hit that's "99 and 44/100 percent fun!" (Joel Siegal, Good Morning America).

Great, great comedy - Howie
One of my favorite films, in particular for a group of actors doing wonderful work with a crazy plot. From one of the golden ages of movies, 1990s (? 1980s), when they just seemed to produce comical comedies. Kevin Kline is great - where did he go? - Sally Field is great although somewhat hyperkinetic - well they are all excellent.A Hoot! - cathyottawa
Anyone who has ever watched a daytime soap will enjoy this friendly poke at the ridiculous plot lines, over the top characters and the famed over acting.
Kevin Kline uses his perfect comedic timing to great effect here, and check out the rest of this cast! Whoopie Goldburg, Robert Downey Jr., Elizabeth Shue, Teri Hatcher, Cathy Moriarty, Sally Field, Carrie Fisher, and even Garry Marshall.
They're all having so much fun with this script and their characters, it's impossible not to enjoy it with them.Ahh, the Lighter side of Daily Soaps - VancouverGuy
A Very enjoyable film. Not as self-aware as most modern comedies, it pokes a very sharp stick at the comedy behind a daily soap. Good cast, good dialogue, and a lovely "mirrored" plot should keep most people amused.
Sally field is exhausting to watch, but since she is generally lampooned, well, I could stand it. The real fun is in the supporting roles, which are all very well played by a strong cast.
