Society / Spontaneous Combustion
Now Showing...
Society:
Even though he's from a wealthy family, teenager Bill Whitney (Billy Warlock of Baywatch and General Hospital) just can't seem to fit in among the mysterious upper class of Beverly Hills. But when he learns that his parents and sister may be involved in secret sexual depravity, Bill begins to suspect that rich people are indeed very different from the rest of us. Can Bill escape his initiation into a nightmare world of privileged perversion or will he be forced to make the ultimate contribution to Society?
Spontaneous Combustion:
In the mid 1950's, a young husband and wife become human guinea pigs for Project Samson, a top-secret experiment exposing them to massive amounts of atomic bomb radiation. But when the couple dies in a shocking "accident", their infant son grows up to be a man whose rage can cause people to suddenly explode into flames. Now the government's murderous experiment may not be over... and one man's use of his horrific 'gift' has only just begun.

Schlocky, mediocre - bigwally
Two schlocky, mediocre films in this "double feature" disc. Society is a slightly surrealist exploration of upper-middle class paranoia, sexual and otherwise, but it never quite decides what tone to adopt. Spontaneous Combustion is a bit more clever, but it spontaneously combusts in the last act.
