It was a match made in heaven... almost. Two witty, intelligent insomniacs, Kevin (Keaton) and Julia (Davis), meet over the last box of sleeping pills at an all-night convenience store and are immediately attracted. They share an evening of passion and romance and discover that they have a lot in common... maybe too much. When they learn that they're both speechwriters - but for opposing political campaigns - the sweethearts quickly move from speechless to ruthless and drop the pillow talk for serious verbal jabbing. But the more they stab each other in the back and insult each other directly, the more they realize that true love doesn't always fall along party lines.

This movie is really bad. It is forced, cliched, predictable Hollywood formula. Geen Davis is always a pleasure to watch but this material is just so hackneyed that she can't manage to save the film. Michael Keaton looks uncomfortable with the material all the way through and his acting is forced and transparent. While the US desperately needs films of biting political satire -- the film is about a political campaign-- this one is cautiously safe, blah, sit-com level.

This movie is a nice romatic comedy about opposites attracting. Its a cutesy movie with not too much depth to it however being on opposite political teams can make it interesting. Im a true Geena Davis fan however and dont know if its all that great if I wasnt a fan. SO if you are a Geena fan, definatley rent, if not read the synopsis so you know what you getting into!
