Moving and sentimental. - starfire
Whether or not you'll enjoy this film depends a lot on what kind of movie goer you are. This is the type of film that would be great to watch with children, mom, a sister. I didn't find it melodramatic-- the performances were sincere and overall, scripted well. Maybe I enjoy it because I remember seeing it with my mom when I was younger and being very moved. It's certainly a lot better than most of the drivel being produced now.Feature length soap opera - Radio_Jane
It's little surprise that this movie was based on an old soap opera from 1940's radio. It is pure melodrama, masked in a little bit of hippy atmosphere and packaged into a rather dull film. All the actors in this film are talented and have done such wonderful work, I have to wonder why they chose to do this terrible tear fest.
