Stir Of Echoes
Tom Witzky (Kevin Bacon) is a blue-collar worker, a family man, the most ordinary guy in the world...who is about to be plunged into a shattering encounter with another world. And it doesn't matter that Tom doesn't believe in the supernatural. Because something supernatural has started to believe in Tom.
After he is hypnotized at a neighborhood party, Tom changes. He sees things he can't explain and hears voices he can't ignore. As the horrific visions intensify, Tom realizes they are pieces of a puzzle, echoes of a crime calling out to be solved. But when his otherworldly nightmares begin coming true, Tom wants out. He desperately tries to rid himself of his eerie, unwanted powers - only to be seized by an irresistible compulsion to dig deeper and deeper into the mystery that is consuming his life. When at last he unearths the truth, it will draw him into the long-buried secret of a ghastly crime, a vengeful spirit...and the lethal price of laying that spirit to rest.

Very Good Movie. Even though I am a great fan of Kevin Bacon and love all his movies this one kept me going. Good suspense good resolution. Bacon stars as an average family man who is put under hypnosis by his sister in law(Illeana Douglas, who steals her scenes.) He not only sees dead people but hears them as well. Without giving too much of the plot away it holds your interest from the beginning til the very end and a twist ending I did not see coming.A sleeper hit you shouldn't miss! - ArcAngelMD
Stir of Echoes got overlooked at the time of it's release which was quite close to Sixth Sense. Over the years the film has stood up just as well as that film and is really a film you should see if you have not had a chance.
A fear induced thriller that takes you through a journey into potential madness. I don't want to give any more of the story away, but Kevin Bacon is at the top of his game here and we have great support performances all around. Skip the "sort of" sequel as it was clearly an attempt to cash in on some cult status and recent direct-to-video horror success.Creepy ...And Full of Bacon Bits!!! - Kissfan
Having read the reviews from other ZIPHEADS I was expecting to be creeped out with this flick.
Lo and Behold I have a 13 year old daughter not able to sleep tonight and a wife tooooo scared to go downstairs to put out the cat.... I guess I get to clutch my "feathers" alone tonight as my daughter gets to sleep with my WIFE....
So other ZIPHEADS who have not rented this and are looking for zippity - do guidance!!
