Charlize Theron and Keanu Reeves look good together; Keanu is not playing a superficial action role, so the focus is not on him. This is a good thing, especially as we can then appreciate Charlize Theron's performance as Sara Deaver. Theron was excellent, as always.Moving with Great Cast Chemistry! - anwallette
This movie is driven by the amazing chemistry between Charlize Theron and Keanu Reeves. Perhaps this is fueled by their real life passions for one another but the concept is a weak one.
Nelson meets Sara and she proceeds to help him find out that being a high powered ad executive is not the life he was meant to lead. She teaches him to embrace his inner child while discovering new things about himself.
He falls in love with her before the month is up...and wants to stay with her forever.Flawed, but well intended - reah98
I remember hearing a lot of negative reviews about the film when it was first released in theater, which why I stayed far away from it.
I was surprised at how much I don't hate this movie, and actually found it enjoyable and well put together. It certainly has inherited some bad traits of typical romantic films, such as overly simplistic characterization and leap of logic, but Charlize Theron's excellent performance, and a bold decision on how the film end salvaged the film from just being generic. It is a memorable, if somewhat flawed piece of cinema.
