The 7th Voyage of Sinbad
"One of the Best Monster Pictures Ever Made." - Time
It's an incredible cinematic adventure as the legendary Sinbad sets off on a dangerous journey to the mysterious Island of Colossus. His quest is to break the spell cast over his beloved princess by a diabolical magician. But before he can save her, Sinbad must battle an awesome collections of Mythical monsters - the man-eating Cyclops, a saber-wielding skeleton, a ferocious two-headed bird called the Roc and a fire-breathing dragon.

We rented this movie because my 6 year old daughter loves stories about greek gods and heroes. And this delivered exactly the kind of action and excitement she wanted to see. I remember lazy Sunday afternoons spent watching this stuff on TV. It isn't high art, but it is entertaining...The 7th Voyage of Sinbad - Newf
I saw this movie as a child. I found it exciting and "GREAT" back then and when I viewed it again I realized what I liked about it so much. The detail of the animated creatures is definately well above any of its day, and can compete with any animation of today. It is a classic movie and I throughly enjoyed viewing it again.A crowning achievement in fantasy cinema - jim_caerleon
"7th Voyage of Sinbad" was special effects genius Ray Harryhausen's first film in colour, and his first fantasy movie after a string of science fiction and monster flicks like "20 Million Miles to Earth" and "Earth Vs. the Flying Saucers". The story is simple and the acting adequate, but the real reason to watch the film is the stunning stop-motion effects work Harryhausen creates to bring the various creatures to life.
Harryhausen was a true genius and a pioneer in motion picture effects. 7th Voyage showcases his "Dynamation" process that combines live action with animated creatures. You'll find several memorable effects sequences in this film, the most impressive being a duel between Sinbad and a skeleton animated by the evil magician. Even when viewed today, in the digital effects era, this sequence is amazing.
Highly recommended, for kids of all ages.
