Avenging Angel
When she's good, she's very good... When she's bad, she's deadly!
Molly, former baby prostitute "Angel" from Sunset Boulevard, has managed to leave her street life with help of Lt. Andrews. She studies law at an university and aims to become attorney. When she learns that Andrews was shot during a failed observation by brutal gangsters, she returns downtown to take revenge. She frees Kit Carson from the old people's home and together with the other old friends she tracks down the bad guys.

The second in the Angel series, this time around Molly is a law school student who returns to the streets as Angel after Det. Andrews, the one who helped her turn her life around, is murdered.
Along the way, we see people from her past, along with new ones.
Overall, the movie was a decent sequel to the original Angel. The movie takes place four years after the first, although the movie itself is only from a year later than Angel.
The movie is cheesy but does have some catchy music and is a decent watch.Isn't it Funny How Yesterday's Sleazy Exploitation... - HouseOfGlib
So quickly becomes today's quaint evocation of a more gentle, simpler time?
As strange as it may sound, but the word I kept thinking of as I watched this tale of a young law student returning to the streets she escaped from in order to avenge the death of the cop who rescued her was "charming". Despite all of its overt references to teenage prostitution, drug addiction, police corruption and murder, AVENGING ANGEL feels as gritty and dangerous as a "very special episode" of BLOSSOM, with the key difference that its heroine is the gorgeous Betsy Russell (whose occasional inability to sell her character's emotions are more than made up for by her ability to wear a miniskirt) instead of a gawky teenage girl in a weird hat.
Despite the nudity and violence (all of which is highly appreciated, btw) the best moments are the ones that touch on light comedy and evoke memories of the endearing simplicity of a certain kind of film from the 30s and 40s.
That's not to say this can be called a legitimately good movie, but if viewed while in a forgiving state of mind it does prove strangely entertaining and worthwhile.
