The Blob
Scream now while you can still breathe!
The Blob has returned in this horrific tale about a vile, malignant life-form that crashes to earth in a cozy, rural American town called Arborville. Untroubled by conscience or intellect, the Blob does only one thing - and it does it well. It eats anything and everything that moves: men, women, children. And tonight it wants to swallow Arborville whole. The original version of The Blob thrilled and terrified audiences back in the 1950s. Now the oozing, gooey killer is back with a whole new high-tech look. What was once only suggested now comes to life in this visually gut-wrenching thriller in the tradition of such classic remakes as The Thing and The Fly.

Nasty moments - Hiku
For an 80's horror, I guess it was passable but for an audiance of current times, I doubt they'd like anything about it.
It had its nasty gore parts that made me cringe but then the parts where people were freezing the unknown substance with a fire-extinguisher, kinda ruined it. Um, did people do their research back then when they made movies? Or did they just assume that the audiance would eat anything they spoon-fed them...??
So ya, nasty moments, not very scary since it is an 80's movie, but it has its down-sides.horror it is not - Irish86
I would not classify this movie as a true horror flick at least not by todays standards however that doesn't mean its a poor movie, far from it. As an action creature flick this movie has great value, but don't expect great dialog. the story is rated as average and teh action is ok at best. The thing that does make the movie is the blob itself. The various ways it "hunts" its is very unique and I greatly anticipated everyone.MEADOOOOWS!!!! - Klit4Klauski
Kevin Dillon owns Dr. Meadows in the latter part of this film. Every single time I watch Dillon blow that manhole cover sky high ... I secrete. Shawnee Smith wll steal your heart with her Oscar nominated performance. If you see one film before the end of the apocalypse, choose The Blob.
