The Brain From Planet Arous
It Will Steal Your Body And Damn Your Soul!
A strange alien ship crash lands in the California desert bringing a terrifying and evil intelligence from another planet whose mission is to conquer the world using subversive mind control.
Wonderful Atomic Age entertainment with floating brains, telepathic possession, atom bombs and a scientist whose eyes can destroy planes in mid-flight, plus a sex-starved alien brain monster with lustful desires for beautiful leading lady Joyce Meadows, who delicately refuses its advances with a meat ax.
The ultimate John Agar thriller from Bronson Canyon and the Hollywood B-movie factories in the "Edwoodian Era" of drive-ins, poodle skirts and flying saucers. Not to be missed!

I recall seeing this movie as a kid. I even remember most of it. Including seeing the wires holding up the brain. Viewing it with a kid's eyes it was an ok movie. Now of course, it's not. Real people don't act that way. Here's a man who appears to be having a psychotic breakdown but nobody calls a doctor because he says he's fine. Talk about the inmates being in charge of the intitution. Better reviews have been written by more qualified people and I won't rehash what they've written. This movie is on a par with others of that era. They were cranked out almost weekly to fill the theatres with kids like me. They were the bread and butter of the industry of the time. And they're most of them pretty bad. So is this one. OK for a 12 year old in the 50's. Terrible for an adult in the 21st century.
