The Center Of The World
Warning. Sex. Come Closer. Enter.
What should have been a simple cash-for-sex arrangement sends a young computer genius and a beautiful stripper on an emotionally shattering journey into their deepest erotic fantasies. Captured with the raw, voyeuristic intimacy, it's a provocative, sensual tour de force from acclaimed independent filmmaker Wayne Wang.

Not quite sure how to describe this film other than to say Molly Parker & Peter Sarsgaard just seem wasted. He has an empty and closed life because of work and she's basically the same. However when they get together I thought we'd see a bit of growth, but in reality we learn little else about their characters. Mixing DV and film(I'm guessing) throughout has mixed results.Definitely Worth a Watch - KingPin84
If you can identify with a socially isolated man who after years is desperate to find love then you will be able to understand this film's themes. If you can't find that base with which to emotionally connect with the main character Richard, then you will be lost as to what the plot of the film actually is. The man is a dot-com millionaire. Everything in his life is virtual. In a way he is blinded to the difference between true forms of connection between people and the artificial. If you watch this film be aware that the plot is completely an emotional and intellectual journey toward truth - not a "guy gets girl, guy loses girl, guy gets girl back and they all live happily ever after" type of plot. Get past this, or you will react exactly like the other reviewers on this page! The Center of Nowhere is a better title.... - Twispi
I can't believe Molly Parker is actually in this movie! She's great in Kissed, and even in the Last Wedding. I rather you see those movies or even Kinsey, than see this drivel. If you want to see gratutious sex, rent a porno. Don't be fooled by the box cover.
