The In-Laws
"Frantically funny. Brooks and Douglas are the perfect odd couple." -Bill Bregoli, Westwood One
Jerry's perfect life is now a perfect mess. Days before his daughter's wedding, he met Steve, the father of the groom. Look on the bright side, Jerry. You're not losing a daughter. You're gaining a madman.
Michael Douglas and Albert Brooks are the odd couple of the CIA set in a fast, funny remake of the 1979 original. Douglas is Steve, who says he's a copier salesman but whose splashy lifestyle, not to mention the agents on his trail and the vial of nuclear material in his pocket, says otherwise. Brooks is Jerry, a podiatrist plunged feet first into Steve's world and hilariously misidentified as the infamous "Fat Cobra". For "a full-tilt onslaught of silly" (The Cincinnati Enquirer), everyone sooner or later has to meet The In-Laws.

The remake with Michael Douglas and Albert Brooks is very funny.
The premise is pure screwball. A nerdy dad and a cool one must join forces to stop an international crime-lord from advancing his nefarious plan at the same time they are preparing for the wedding of the nerd's daughter to the cool one's son.
Very silly, but enjoyable.
My copy was in very good technical shape. The picture and sound were clear; no glitches. Also, the price was low. What more can you ask of an entertainment product?A really good film. - moviegenius
I think that The In-Laws is a pretty funny movie. Michael Douglas and Albert Brooks were very funny together in this movie. Poor Albert Brooks. Sometimes, things didn't go right for him. So, I think that this is a pretty good comedy that I think fans of funny movies should see.Predictable but with funny moments - anwallette
Anyone who has ever gotten married can kind of relate to the craziness that ensues before a wedding.
The two fathers start out by hating each other but as the father of the bride (who is normally a boring doctor) gets pulled into the undercover world of espionage and a CIA rogue agent.
Brooks and Douglas work well together and play off of one another well!
