The Langoliers
Prepare Yourself For The Flight Of Your Life!
Something bizarre has happened aboard flight #29...a nightmare so chilling, so frightening, so unrelenting it could only come from the mind of Stephen King. Now the master storyteller of our time gives terror a new name in The Langoliers. A jet leaves on a red-eye flight from Los Angeles to Boston. But early in the flight, ten passangers awaken to a startling realization: All of the other passengers have vanished -- and the ground below is only...ground. But once they manage to land the plane, the situation doesn't improve. No one is there...the air is still...the clocks have stopped...and a dread, evil presence bent on their destruction is headed straight for them. Based on the novella from the best-selling anthology Four Past Midnight, Patricia Wettig (City Slickers II), Bronson Pincho (Beverly Hills Cop), Dean Stockwell (The Player) and David Morse (The Getaway) stare into the jaws of oblivion in this nightmare from the mind of Stephen King.

I remember liking the Langoliers a lot more when I first saw it back in '95 and usually I still like movies when I see them years later, but this one is only okay; the acting isn't go great in some cases, but the CGI is charmingly primitive- the story is kind of cool but I now see plot holes and more clearly see the 'made for TV' stamp on it- not a bad thing necessarily but it's not good. At least it wasn't horrible like the vast majority of King movies LOLI just love this movie - tlefrancois
THE LANGOLIERS
As soon as I read the novella "The Langoliers" by Stephen King, I knew it would make an amazing movie. It was by far the scariest piece of writing I have ever read and I was delighted to see that it had already been made into a TV movie. It took me over a year to find a copy, but it was worth it.
People complain about the crappy computer FX and the bad acting, but if you pay attention to the amazing storyline and the logic and thinking that went into this story, you'll find that it is an enjoyable movie that will keep you glued to the screen.Langoliers - peacetrain
This stephen King movie is set on the edge of reality where time and space come together, its a unique look at a sci fi view of how reality is created and taken away from a thrilling ride of imagination from Steven King. It's a good story.
If your a Sci Fi Fan and a Steven King Fan, don't miss it.
