The Wedding Planner
A romantic comedy about love, destiny and other events you just can't plan for.
Mary Fiore (Jennifer Lopez) is the wedding planner. She's ambitious, hard-working, extremely organized, and she knows exactly what to do and say to make any wedding a spectacular event. But when Mary falls (literally) for a handsome doctor (Matthew McConaughey), her busy yet uncomplicated life is turned upside down -- he's the groom in the biggest wedding of her career! Will she help him walk down the aisle with his internet tycoon girlfriend (Bridgette Wilson-Sampras), or will Mary finally get to be the bride herself? As this sweet romantic comedy proves, when it comes to love, you can never plan what's going to happen.

This makes me feel like there are so much LOVE out there and romantic couples are created every minute of it. It's great match for the main characters, but also the scenes they chose ans the story they go through were perfect for this romantic movie. It was fun and gave me a smile at the end.Average Hollywood romance. - Robin_Vancouver
Average Hollywood entertainment. The whole story can be told in two sentences. This movie has everything one might expect, two attractive main characters, a chance encounter, romance, love, a mistaken identity, some sad moments (but not too many) and in the end both decide coincidently to come together, not an instant too early. And they lived happily ever after…1 star is 1 too many - Greensleeves
What a stinker. No redeeming qualities whatsoever, except that it was 104 minutes instead of 105. Story line is so predictable that it isn't worth mentioning.
Trite. Badly acted, particularly by Alex Rocco, although Charles Kimbrough tried to be even worse.
The alcoholic potential Mother-in-law was so pathetic that one must conclude that the director's intention was to spoof other performances of alcoholics but it failed miserably.
Even Mary has to take a turn at getting into the sauce to drown her sorrows. Was she really trying to portray a person who'd been drinking?
The accents were strange. Part way into the movie I concluded that they were trying to be Italian, only because they made repeated references to Italian ancestry. Aside from that, I'd have bet on Jewish-Bronx.
You'll have a better time watching reruns of Little House on the Prairie for the 30th time.
