Virus
Jamie Lee Curtis faces a new, unstoppable terror in this science fiction chiller from the producer of Aliens, Terminator 2, and Tremors.
Curtis plays the navigator of a tugboat crew which loses its cargo during a hurricane. In the calm eye of the storm, they come across a Russian research ship floating dead on the water. Boarding the vessel, they initially believe it to be deserted - but they soon realize they're not alone. First, they discover a terrified survivor (Joanna Pacula), and then they find that the ship has been taken over by a ruthless alien intelligence. Now, the small band must fight for their lives against a force that has come to claim Earth for its own, and creates bio-mechanical monstrosities with one goal: eliminating the virus called humans.
Donald Sutherland (Invasion of the Body Snatchers) and William Baldwin (Backdraft) also star in a film featuring horrific special effects by the artists behind the Jurassic Park films, Species and Starship Troopers!

It was a passable science fiction film. It offered nothing new to an already extensively exhausted genre. The acting was slightly overdramatic and even a good actor such as Jamie Lee Curtis could not save this movie. I would not recommend it to the genral audienceWhat came first he chicken or the egg? - Chucky
This 90's technothriller takes place out at sea, one of my favorite movie locations, it also has a huge boat, lots of equipment and offers some hope to the survivors; at least until they turn on the lights then they let loose an alien energy force that produces modular constructs which include human body parts thus making cyborgs. Their mission--why to kill the human race which it, the alien force, precieves to be a virus.
Shades of star trek the next generation, the Borg has landed--Resistance is futile, you will be assimilated. I liked this flick for all its flaws, I found it entertaining.
Safe for anyone but the squeemish.oups... the actors' work salvaged this movie - caroline
even though the sets, the costumes, the dos, the 'prises de vue', the action coreographies are cleary from the late nineties, I felt I was watching an old story (aka aliens taking over the world, well menacing to succeed at doing so... because you got a give a chance to the leading guy and girl) with the twist-du-jour: StarTrek's the Borg. My jaw litterally felt to couch when I realized that the evil punch effect was an emule of the familiar half-man half-machine vilain. I must conceid that the idea of adding an odor factor (decaying flesh) was... refreshing. However. all the actors are fantastic.
