What's The Matter With Helen?
"A musical-horror-melodrama-satire-love story" (L.A. Examiner Herald), this "shocking cult classic" (Nuart) is a cut above! When the moms of two murderers escape their past by moving to Hollywood, one (Debbie Reynolds) starts living out her Tinseltown dreams, leaving the other (Oscar® winner Shelley Winters) to stew about carving up the town... in her own special way!
Whoever Slew Auntie Roo?
Auntie Roo (Shelley Winters) just loves children... to death. After the mysterious disappearance of her daughter, Auntie Roo has been looking for a 'dead ringer' replacement. And this time she found one... from the local orphanage! But what is she to do with the girl's pesky brother when he discovers Roo's terrible secret in the attic?

Great stuff - Craigo
These two films only share a couple of common threads; they both feature Shelley Winters, they both come from the same director, and they're both timid enough to watch with your grandmother. So fans of Hostel/Wolf Creek/etc. may want to steer clear.
PG-rated mayhem ensues in both features as Shelly Winters goes off her rocker in grand style. In WSAR, things are kept tepid in a Hansel and Gretel-type re-telling, where Winters kidnaps a little girl and her brother. Despite a rotting child's corpse Winters' keeps in a cradle, this actually should be veiwed in the christmas season because of it's wonderful christmastime settings. Just be willing to forgive some of the light ghoulishness.
WTMWH is decidedly more sinister, as Winters and Debbie Renyolds try to esqape a tragic past and end up in the midst of total insanity. It all culminates in a very morbid finale.
