When The Party's Over
Sex, love and friendship in the nineties... sometimes having it all is not enough.
Sandra Bullock, Elizabeth Berridge, Rae Dawn Chong and Fisher Stevens star in this powerful and intimate look at success, friendship and sex in the 1990's. A group of young, sophisticated and beautiful friends are bent at having it all. Living together in an exclusive section of Los Angeles makes life one ongoing party. Their bodies are beautiful, their beds are busy, their careers are rising fast - especially for M.J. (Chong). Her charm and sexy good looks allow her to manipulate and use everyone around her, even her closest friends. But what happens when the party's over?

It has some decent moments; Sandra Bullock has amazing charisma and she lights up every scene she is in. The actors do a surprisingly good job.
One girl is struggling as an artist, the other is trying to make it in the corporate world, the other has relationship problems, etc. Still, Sandra pulls an otherwise averaete film up and makes it into something good; a true star, Sandra Bullock would go on to star in Speed with Keanu Reeves and make that movie the success that it was. This movie was a character film; it was not about plot, not really. It was character development. An English-major the other day told me that a book is only literature if it focuses on characterization. Picture this as a dark, gritty, film-noir version of a character movie and you get the idea.
