You've Got Mail
Someone You Pass On The Street May Already Be The Love Of Your Life.
You've Got Mails delivers all the wit, charm and warmth you'd expect from a reunion of the stars, and director of Sleepless in Seattle. Greg Kinnear, Parker Posey, Jean Stapleton and more talented co-stars add perfect support to this valentine to modern - to modem - romance in which superstore book chain magnate Hanks and cozy children's bookshop owner Ryan are anonymous e-mail cyberpals who fall head-over-laptops in love, unaware they are combative business rivals. You've got rare Hollywood magic when You've Got Mail.

This movie is like fine wine...it actually gets better with time and further viewings.
In this sequel to Sleepless in Seattle (which was in itself a tribute movie to the old Cary Grant/Deborah Kerr classic, "An Affair To Remember") this is, in fact, the third pairing of Hanks and Ryan.
The first time I'd watched this film, I thought Sleepless was a way better movie. However, as time went on, and I'd decided to watch this film again after some time away from it, I ended up falling in love with the characters, the dialogue, the tastefully humorous supporting cast, and the beautiful camera-work & cinematography.
I would say that this flick has more realistic and jaded-by-life characters, but it is also a heart-warming, grown-up love story and I do enjoy watching it again and again. In fact, I can watch this film more times than Sleepless.
If you didn't like it the first time, try watching it again and, you just never know, you may find yourself much more receptive to its plot and characters this time around.Great Upbeat Movie! - 1writer
This is one of those movies that I can watch over and over again - and there aren't many that I can say that about. It is a fun romantic comedy with the two of the best actors of that genre- Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan. The movie is based on the original film, The Shop Around the Corner, but is made fresh by writers Nora Ephron and her sister, Delia. The premise of the story being that two people who do not really like each other in their current in-person interactions with each other concurrently fall in love with each other over the Internet (not knowing who the other is, of course). This is an upbeat film worth seeing a few times! This is ok - ceegee
but the original "Shop Around the Corner" with Jimmy Stewart is much better and a good Christmas/date movie choice for people who like older films. I found this one a bit stale, as if they were just re-hashing Sleepless in Seattle. Even a Cyrano de Bergerac (with mistaken letters and hidden feelings) , such as Roxane, would be a better choice, or an ok double bill with this movie.
