Young Guns 2
A legend forged in a blaze of glory.
Good weather for a hanging. Billy the Kid's outlaw ingrates are penned like sows in a Lincoln County pit and the Kid is strapped in a nearby hotel. But the hangman will go home disappointed tonight. Billy cleverly breaks himself - then his gang - free. One of the West's greatest legends lives to ride another day.
Emilio Estevez, Kiefer Sutherland, Lou Diamond Phillips and Christian Slater saddle up for Young Guns II, featuring Jon Bon Jovi's Oscar - nominated and Golden Globe Award - winning Best Original Song Blaze of Glory. By 1879, the Lincoln County Wars have ended but bad blood endures. Billy and his men look to Mexico for haven - if they can elude Billy's one-time friend, pursuing sheriff Pat Garrett (William Petersen).

Although not quite as good as the first movie (few sequals are) this is very well done. Loads of up and coming stars as well as many well known actors. The story is well written and loosly based on history and the legend of Billy the Kid is still going strong. If you like westerns this is a good modern take on themYOUNG GUNS II - zippo
GREAT SEQUEL WHICH IS RARE, IF YOU SEEN THE FIRST ONE YOU KNOW PART OF THE ORIGINAL CAST AREN'T IN IT BUT THEY MAKE UP FOR IT BY BRINGING IN WILLIAM PETERSEN TO PLAY THE FAMOUS PAT GARRET. THE HUNT IS ON FOR BILLY THE KID AND HIS GANG BUT THE HUNT IS BEING DONE BY SOMEONE WHO KNOWS BILLY VERY WELL. AS BILLY LEADS THE POSSE TOWARD NEW MEXICO TO ESCAPE THE LAW BILLY GETS CAPTURED. THIS MOVIE CLOSES OUT THE STORY OUT QUITE WELL. IF YOU ARE A FAN OF WESTERNS THIS IS A MUST SERIES TO HAVE.Better Than The Original - bwod
With "Young Guns 2", the story arc continues to its inevitable end - or does it? John Fuscoe has scripted both installments of this interpretation of the story of Billy The Kid, but instead of going for a historical, linear western, he confounds us a bit, by suggesting the young man in the coffin wasn't actually him. It's clever and original. Combined with the competent direction of Geoff Murphy, and the wonderful cast, slightly different than in the first movie, "Young Guns 2" fulfills its promise of action-packed story and quasi-historical closure about this legendary "Prince of the Pistoliers". I give it one firm thumb up and recommend it to fans of the genre.
