Nothing to do with the book at all - Solangel
I had never seen this movie but loved the book and thought I might introduce my kids to the movie and then read the book together. I know that Disney used to make documentaries and movies about animals and that he liked technology so I thought that the focus of the movie would be on what made the book so great: the family using what they have to make contraptions that help them survive, and discovering the flora and fauna of a tropical island.
I guess it is a fun adventure movie, but really doesn't have much to do with the book!Great Memories! - meuley
I have been dying to see this movie again. I remember watching it over and over again as a child. It was just as good this time! What a great adventure and this time I got to share it with my 4 year old son. I recommend this to anyone who has a child with a wonderful imagination or maybe the parents do too.family fun - ashleyport
I loved this movie. I remember watching it with my mom when i was younger now i got to watch it all over again with my niece and i still love it and my niece who is four is now asking for it for christmas. I think it is a classic family movie that is a must see for everyone. The acting isn't a the best i have ever seen but all in all i would tell anyon e to watch this movie
