This movie was better than I expected it was going to be when I rented it as the story was somewhat suspenseful and the ending was, for me, a good twist. However, the buildup (meaning the rest of the movie for me) wasn't fast-moving enough, and I found it just took too long for anything to really happen. Decent acting by Katie Holmes and Benjamin Bratt.Abandon it - 2 Dinos - jurassicmark
I had such high hopes for this one. And for a couple of brief moments in this film, I thought it just may deliver. But it doesn't. The ending (believe it or not) did surprise me...I didn't see it coming. But the 'PS' at the very end was unnecessary.
Not a must see. I only gave it 2 Dinos from jurassicmark.Too disjointed, but an interesting first director - Big_J.
I wasn't overly impressed with this movie the first time I watched it, but in all fairness, it did improve on the second watching, mainly because I knew the ending so caught more of the subtle nuances that were there to be seen. The performances of the actors were singularly uninteresting, but there were a few interesting tidbits in the deleted scenes, especially the one where Katie waits to be interviewed, it would have been a better movie if they had left that scene in the final cut to give the character a little more depth. The add on best friend characters and the flashbacks to establish the relationships in the movie I found too erratic, but as I said, at least the first time director/writer took a chance on what is not a typical hollywood movie to be sure.
