Lara Croft: Tomb Raider - The Cradle Of Life
"Thumbs Up! Better than the first. It's fun!"-Roger Ebert, Ebert & Roeper
Laura Croft is back in action and faces her most perilous mission. To recover what ancient civilization believed to be the essence of all evil, Pandora’s Box. She must travel the globe, from Greece to Hong Kong to Kenya and beyond to get to the box before it is found by a maniacal scientist whose plan it is to use it for mass annihilation.
For this adventure Laura recruits her ex-partner, Terry Sheridan, a dangerous mercenary who has previously betrayed Laura and their country. She knows he's the best for the mission, but can she trust him again?
Join her as she races through furious hand-to-hand battles, blazing shoot-outs and breathtaking sky-diving escapes to try to save the ancient artifact.....and mankind’s future.

for a movie based on a classic video game there were many ways that it could have gone. fortunetly it didnt go that bad, Angelinia Jolie now seems like a natural choice for Lara croft. I liked the action and the witty dialogue. Definitly a boy move but still fun for galsTOO MUCH - HosersCornerToo
I thought the first one was a bit over the top but this one was far beyond that. I also thought that if you are going to spend all this money on a sequel, they could have done a better job on the graphics (ie the shark...how stupid is that anyway?) I still enjoy Angelina and think she's a fantastic actress (and easy on the eyes), but the movie was way too much for me - but I suppose, if you like the video game's action packed sequences, you'll like this.Yawn?... i fell asleep! - Kirklain
So the original was a good action flick... and with the irrepressible Jolie as Lara... well makes for good eye candy!
So here is Lara Croft 2. Wasn't a big hit when first released, but still, Jolie in those tight clothes? how wrong can it get!... well very wrong. Ok i wasn't needing a decent storyline or any story really, and this is what i got. The action is half-baked... nice stunts, some nice graphics... all nice... but who wants nice! this is tomb raider, she's meant to kick ass! she fails to engage the audience at all. The baddie, doesn't seemthat bad a bloke, feel sorry for him, and the ending is so predictable and well not good enough, even for a tv movie.
So should you rent it? no... unless you're a hardcore Lara/Jolie fan... and if its raining and you're in the middle of a wood with nothing else to do and have 2hours to kill.
