Austin Powers In Goldmember
"Extremely Funny!" -Stephen Hunter, The Washington Post
He's found his mojo, baby, and now Austin Powers (Mike Meyers, Shrek) strikes gold in his newest 24-karat shagadelic comedy-adventure!
The "shhhh!" hits the fan when Dr. Evil and Mini-Me escape from prison. Joining forces with the superfreaky Goldmember, they kidnap Austin's father, master spy Nigel Powers (Oscar® winner Michael Caine), in a dastardly time travel scheme to take over the world. Before you can say "Shake your booty," Austin cruises to 1975 and teams up with sexy Foxxy Cleopatra (Beyonce Knowles R&B group Destiny's Child) to stop Dr. Evil and Goldmember from their mischievous mayhem.

It doesn't really work. - moviegenius
I didn't think this film was very good. There were some pretty funny scenes in the movie, but I don't think that this movie worked as a whole. I thought there were too many gross-out gags. My recommendation is that people watch the first Austin Powers, film instead ("Austin Powers: International Man Of Mystery").Fun Comic Romp - kav2001c
Back when Mike Myers used to be funny we had the Austin Powers series. Excluding Beyonce (who was terrible) this film is full of laughs (some are repeated jokes from earlier films, some are same joke differant twist). This is well worth a rental.
One of the best parts in Goldmember is the beginning, with the spoof of his own movies now being made into an action flick. Dr Evil kidnaps Austin's father, Goldmember is just ridiculous, and the other supervillians are all back.Mike Myers needs to try something new - KelVarnsen
In the last 10 years all Mike Myers has really done is Austin Powers and Shrek. The guy really needs to create something new rather than just cashing in on reliable properties (how about something without an accent?). This movie was a little funny but it was pretty much the same old thing you would expect from an Austin Powers movie, don't expect anything too original, even from Beyonce and Michael Caine.
