This movie was interesting to learn how he lived and how exciting events he had in his life. I'm not sure CIA part, but it was fun part as well. It was great fun and if you carefully watch it, there was cameo of Brad and Matt from Oceans Eleven in one very small part. That was interesting.Confessions - jillabeer
A weird dip into Chuck Barris' psyche, this first effort from Clooney as a director was great cinematically but lacking somewhat in story. It would have been nice to have had a bit more latitude for the viewer in determining whether Barris' CIA life was part of reality or part of a complex self delusion, nonetheless the film tells Barris' tale in an interesting way.
Clooney succeeds as a first time director and having seen some of his later work before this film, you can certainly see that he's not been resting on his laurels since. Drew Barrymore gives an excellent performance - more than enough substance there to balance out the random cameos from the Ocean's Eleven crowd.Good movie - Vickie
George Clooney does a reasonably good job at directing his first motion picture. I was surprised by the level of acting involved. I love game shows so I liked some of the views of the behind the scenes for the old game shows of the 70's. The plot itself didn't make a lot of sense but it was still an enjoyable movie to watch.
