Get Over It!
"Absolutely Hilarious! Kirsten Dunst Brings It On Again!" -ABC-TV
Kirsten Dunst (Bring It On), Sisqo and Ben Foster (TV's Freaks and Geeks) shine in this hilariously hip comedy! After Berke (Foster) gets dumped by the hottest girl in school, Allison, he'll do anything to get her back! Against the advice of his buddies Dennis (Sisqo) and Felix (Colin Hanks - That Thing You Do!), Berke desperately follows Allison into the high school play! But when he's inept onstage, Berke gets bailed out by his friend's little sister (Dunst)... who just might be the one to help him get over Allison! Also featuring Martin Short (Father of the Bride) and Shane West (Dracula 2000) - nothing goes as planned in this entertaining treat!

This has been one of my favourite teen romance movies since it first came out. Does it have the best plot? Nope. Best acting, screenplay, cinematography? Nope. Is it corny? Yup.
However, this movie seems to exceed the quality of the sum of it's parts. It manages to be funny, cute, charming, fun and full of life all at the same time.
Perhaps it is the impish character of the Midsummer Night's Dream that the movie is based on, but I found the movie to be fresh, mischevious and fun. It helps you remember that it's good to be young and alive!Little Cheesy - soupy6
'Get Over It' is a funny film, that keeps the laughs coming without getting silly, and features some fine performances by all it's actors, with most of the laughs being supplied by Martin Short in the role of the play's eccentric producer. The only flaw in the film is the time spent on the play, if the play was used as a backround, instead of a main setting, the movie would have been great.Get Over IT! - PowaPete
Alas, Get Over It doesn't go into dream territory nearly enough for my taste. Its plot is essentially the same as the great Better Off Dead (1985) and hundreds of other high school movies, and it still has to follow the well-worn grooves. At less than 90 minutes, it doesn't have much time for sidetracks.
Still, as directed by Tommy O'Haver (Billy's Hollywood Screen Kiss), the film offers a lot of yuks and a lot of fun. Dunst once again provides her character with wit and soul, using her sweet, sleepy-eyed charm to win the boy. When she sings a song for her play audition (and yes, that's really her singing), O'Haver blocks out all other stimuli, giving her a black background. All attention is on her for a few moments. She's mesmerizing. Too bad Miramax didn't know what they had.
