Denzel Washington definitely does not disappoint!
Denzael gives a fantastic performance, portraying a father pushed to the edge. He must do something against every fibre of his being to save his son and is even willing to give his own life.
Another in a long line of meaningful Denzel movies.
This movie will keep you riveted until the very end.
The beginning is confusing; and seems to be random. Don't worry - it will make sense later in the film.

This movie is so powerful and enlightening! As a parent I always say I would do anything for my children, but I hope it never comes down to this. This movie also makes me glad that I live in Canada. Here, the healthcare system doesn't reject those without insurance coverage, and would do anything they could to ensure a quality of life for all citizens. Our transplant lists are long too, but our hospitals would never send us home for lack of payment, its just unheard of! The tiered American healthcare system disgusts me. This movie is a stark reminder of how poor this system is. Parents should not have to watch their children suffer as a consequence of a health care system that is only about dollars and cents. To all canadians, take a look for yourselves. For all americans, take a stand for better healthcare.Heart-wrenchingly beautiful and thought-provoking - imagination201
I just can't get enough of this movie! The drama, the topic, the actors, the plot... what is there not to like, except, perhaps, that it forces us to consider the unfairness of the man-made world we live in, and especially of the american health system.
While I don't condone the action that is taken by the protagonist of this movie, his conversations with his sick child is still heart-wrenching, and it brings home the fact that people should be able to be healed and go through extensive surgery if that is their wish. That is shouldn't be a question of money but a question of human rights.
It also takes a whole other dimension when we think of those who are in the boy's situation, needing a transplant but unable to afford one...
Anyway, this movie can't possibly leave you indifferent, but it will also entertain you and keep you wondering how this will end :)
A must see!
