The Fugitive
A murdered wife. A one-armed man. An obsessed detective. The chase begins.
Catch him if you can. The Fugitive is on the run! Harrison Ford and Tommy Lee Jones race through the breathless manhunt movie based on the classic TV series. Ford is prison escapee Dr. Richard Kimble, a Chicago surgeon falsely convicted of killing his wife and determined to prove his innocence by leading his pursuer to the one-armed man who actually committed the crime. Jones is Sam Gerard, an unrelenting bloodhound of a U.S. Marshal. They are hunted and hunter. And as directed by Andrew Davis, their nonstop chase has one exhilarating speed: all-out. So catch him if you can. And catch an 11-on-a-scale-of-10 train wreck (yes, the train is real), a plunge down a waterfall, a cat-and-mouse jaunt through a Chicago St. Patrick's Day Parade and much more. Better Hurry. Kimble doesn't stay in one place very long!

The Fugitive follows Richard, a doctor who has been accused of murdering his wife. He's managed to escape prison and is running free. Racing against the clock, Richard must discover who killed his wife and why so he can clear his name.
Sam is the detective sent to find the escaped doctor and bring him back in.
This film is beautifully, masterfully done. The suspense is woven into this movie flawlessly, the dialogue is well written and the characters are easy to relate with. Both Ford and Jones are at the top of their game and they put in expert performances.
The action in is movie is light and placed where it will forward the plot or enhance the characters, the music is well suited. Certainly one of the best put-together movies I've seen.Top-Notch Action-Thriller - newdaysof
Harrison Ford and Tommy-Lee Jones give excellent performances in this fast-paced action-thriller. This in an intense movie from beginning to end and the action and tension are relentless.
Lt. Gerrard pursues Dr. Richard Kimble from beginning to end while Dr. Kimble tries to track down the one-armed man and uncover the mysterious way in which his wife was murdered. The action follows Gerrard and then Kimble as they occassionaly cross paths. A lot of attention was given to accurately portraying how the police and detectives conduct their investigations.
The actions and stunts involve a bus, train, gigantic hydro station, a river, downtown Chicago, elevators, stairwells, skyscraper rooftops to name just a few and each sequence is played to perfection. This is movie-making at its best.run and hide! - jeni
I still absolutely love this movie, even though a few years has gone by now since it was made... I guess it's the quality of it all speaking, and the astonishing performances of both Harrison Ford and Tommy Lee Jones that makes this movie so terribly(!) good even today. The story itself has a lot to offer, you will be sitting on the edge of your seat until the very last minute!
