It seems to me you don't rent a Jackie Chan movie unless you want to have a really enjoyable romp with him. His special effects are fun and the fact that he does his own stunts is quite awesome considering he's not exactly a young man any more. I thoroughly enjoyed this movie though I am aware that the plot was weak - it was still good fun.Classic Jackie - ceekryt
It's all here - the poor lip synching, the slightly brainless love interest, the befuddled looking Jackie, the weirder than weird plot - and oh yeah, the unbelievable, halfway jump out of your seat in shock stunts. I don't think anyone would watch any of these movies if Jackie wasn't in them - heck, they pobably wouldn't get made in the first place. Amazing that Jackie always adds that certain je ne sais quoi. Go JAckie go!The Accidental cut! - XTRUClerk
I absolutely hate what Alliance has done to this Jackie Chan film. Several parts of the movie have been cut. There is about ten minutes missing. What's really annoying is that they haven't cut a full scene, they've removed parts throughout. Example, in the elevator scene at the beginning Chan is suppose to get stuck between the crates, a couple of bad guys and the old woman. One of the bad guys grabs a hold of his tie and he gets out of the situation by cutting his tie with a pair of scrissors. Another pair of scissors has removed this part of the scene even though the rest remains. Don't believe me, watch Jackie as he goes in the elevator. He has a tie. When he comes out its cut in half. Jackie Chan isn't Orson Wells, so I guess the argument is that they can do this to his movies and no one will care. Well I care. I await the day a collector's edition with the missing footage comes out. For that matter, where are the special editions of Chan's movies. He's only one of the biggest stars in the world! It's time to treat him, and his movies, better. Cheers.
