Jet Lag
The Battle Of The Sexes Just Got Sexier.
Oscar winner Juliette Binoche (Best Supporting Actress, The English Patient, 1996; Chocolat) and Jean Reno (Ronin, The Professional) soar together in a wonderfully fun and sexy comedy where opposites don't just attract, they collide! Pampered beauty queen Rose (Binoche) and over-stressed insomniac Felix (Reno) have only one thing in common: they're through with bad relationships and have both sworn off the opposite sex. So when an airline strike grounds these total strangers together in paris - and they're forced to share the last available hotel room in town - neither can wait to leave the other behind. But the more they try to go their seperate ways, the more obvious it becomes that there's no place else they'd rather be!

I'm in the process of trying to improve my french, so I've been renting and watching a lot of french movies lately. I really enjoyed this one - light-hearted, silly, clever lines and some ridiculousness - though I wouldn't recommend it as something to watch to practice your french. The Quebec accent is simply to strong, and the expressions just too complex for your intermediate french learner.
To me, this feels very French Canadian. The style and humour are definitely connected with the province of Quebec.
Rent it if you're looking for something fun and quirky without too much seriousness.light and entertaining - musgrave
I enjoyed this movie. It's unusual to see such high calibre actors in a light, funny, romance/comedy. Neither of them overacted the parts and it remained throughout what the movie was. A romantic comedy, with a somewhat happy ending. All neat and tidy for the general movie going public. It's probably a break for actors to take roles such as these, as they don't seem that difficult and are more for them to have fun as well as the audience.Quirky Romance - mityna
This is a nice love story involving two characters who don't seem compatible... with anyone. Rose is a flaky beautician and Felix is an obsessive chef who dislikes "smells". I like how it seems that every scene is set in a different part of the airport, and how time seems meaningless while each wait for their boarding time. The ending, while predictable, fulfils the romance in all of us. This one's great!
