A fabulous, well written, superbly acted movie. Blatantly pulling at all your emotions by using two impossibly adorable young Irish actors. More than that though, the story makes you question the surface of things and delves into the human condition on many levels. I can't recommend this movie enough, but be warned if you cry easily, you'll be sobbing from start to finish...Predictable Plot -- But Great Otherwise - NicoleManley
You could see the story-line a mile away. Otherwise great stuff.
Characters were superb. Loved every one of them.
The idea of an Irish family in a run-down neck of New York was original and fun.
The New York was played up nicely.
And the whole emotion to the whole film of loss was beautifully done.
Highly recommend it. And I'm not usually into these types of films.Review - In America - maw-
A lovely and heart-wrenching movie chronicling the physical and emotional journey of an Irish immigrant family as they adapt to life in New York City and try to come to grips with the death of one of their children. You will laugh. You will cry. You will be glad you watched it. The children especially give phenomenal performances.
