I am 17 years old and have been looking for this movie in stores for three years, Now I had just joined zip and this was my first movie I rented. While it was a movie that had a lot of actors and actresses that I like they really didn't do much for this movie. I am a huge Shia Labeouf fan but have to say this was not his best. It really had no funny moments and I don't think I smiled once.
I cant really give a fair rating after looking for three years it's kind of hard to live up to three years of expectations. But my rating 3/10Disapointing overall - eoguy
I enjoyed watching the Project Greenlight for this movie more than I enjoyed the movie. The actors in this movie were good. Individually each actor has been in at least one movie that I really like. Shia Lebouf especially made an impression because his role as "Kelly" in this movie was much different than the roles he plays on the Disney channel. It was great to see his range as an actor. The writing was good. I did enjoy a lot of the dialogue. It was witty and smart. What was missing from this movie was commitment. There was no real commitment to any of the relationships in the movie which made it really difficult to care about the characters and their problems. I felt there wasn't any real climax in this story. I kept waiting for something to happen. I kept hoping I would feel something for Kelly and his Dad, Kelly and Bart, Kelly and Tabby, and then Kelly and his gal pal. Still nothing. There was no real connection for me as the viewer. Nothing truly scratched the surface for me in this movie. Do yourself a favor. If you do decide to watch the movie. See it first and then get the season of Project Greenlight. At least this way you won't feel let down.
