Men With Brooms
A Comedy That Will Sweep You Off Your Feet!
This wickedly cool comedy tacks four life-long friends on a hilarious quest for true love, macho bonding and big-time curling glory! Reunited by the last wishes of their recently deceased coach, four not-quite-together guys set out to win the local Superbowl of curling-an ancient, inscrutable sport involving large "stones", icy arenas and...yes...Men With Brooms. Under the guidance of their befuddled new coach (Leslie Nielsen), the intrepid teammates fight their way to the big championship showdown, facing everything from jilted fiancées and murderous thugs to low sperm counts, amorous sisters of jilted fiancées and more. The side-splitting result is a comedy gem positively bristling with "on the button" laughter, romance and wit!

Call me Canadian, but I was expecting this movie to be corny at best. Instead, I was pleasantly surprised. The movie has its share of off-the-wall moments but they are grounded in the small-town setting.
I was totally impressed that Paul Gross wrote and directed as well as starring. The extras are worth a look for this reason.Great Movie - Waters
I really enjoyed this movie it has a lot of comedy that appeals to Canadians which is refreshing to see rather than normal American flicks.
Paul Gross further confirms his greatness with this movie and Leslie does a great job not as over the top as most of of his comedic roles.True Canadian Humor - joycough
This show is a gem in that it is pure Canadian. From it's basis in Curling, right where else would this make any sense? to it's continual use of Beavers.
Writer, Director, and Star Paul Gross is a true Canadian hero. Most well known for his stint on the popular tv show, Due South. But his talent did not run dry there. He's gone on to this show and to the Canadian Political Thriller, H2O. As a budding Canadian Playwrite he is a hero and inspiration to me.
This movie is based on bringing back a curling team together to win the Golden Broom, the catch? The winning shot has to be placed on the button with the rock that contains their coach. The movie is full of off beat Canadian humor. Truely brilliant.
