29 Palms
Money, murder, betrayal. It's all in the bag.
When an undercover FBI agent uncovers illegal gambling activities at an Indian casino, he goes on the run as the mob's best hit man is hired to take him out. And when he accidentally ends up with the hit man's bag of money, he really has nowhere to turn in the small town of 29 Palms.

Another Would-Be Hip Thriller - TimI
-All hell brakes loose after a judicial assistant is set up for assassination by corrupt judge.
The Good
-Some very funny bits of dialog
-There is a great car chase at the film climax
-Basic premise is good
-Chris O'Donnell is very well cast as a straight-laced hitman who finds himself in increasingly bizarre situations
The Bad
-The pacing is off
-The characters are poorly developed
-The film tries too hard to be "hip"
-The lead character is poorly developed so that you never really have any empathy for him.
-The film looses focus many times and needs tightening
Is Summary
-A missed opportunity. If the film makers had spent more time developing the central premise and less time trying to be the next Quentin Tarantinos, this could have been a tight little thriller instead of an also-ran.2 1/2 - 3 Stars - Trixnbun
The movie was somewhat slow and meandering. Acting was ok, but no real steller performances that stole the show.
The movie kind of worked like an abbot and costell routine without the comedy.
They want to hit the drifter so they hire a hitman and give him the money, he takes the money and its stolen by the security guard, he takes the money hits a pole and the cop takes the money he sends it to 29 palms where the drifter shows up and steals a bag thinking there might be clothes in it.. and he ends up with the money that was there to knock him off.
The whole movie focuses on this bag of money and how everyone wants it. The place where the movie was filmed was very good choice, as it was in the middle of the Nevada Desert, a desolate place.
Overal an ok movie, not a waste of time but I've seen better and the story has been done before
