It's as bad as it looks - SpockClone
I didn't think it could be as bad as it looks, but it is. I thought Matt Damon would be smart enough to avoid turkeys like this. I ended up fast forwarding through a lot of it, and then just giving up, I couldn't force myself to watch the entire thing.
It's not very funny, and is quite embarrassing to watch. It's supposed to be 'gross out humor' I guess, but it's just not funny. It's painful to watch. Avoid at all costs.Average - movie_goer
Stuck on you is as average as they get. It's not the quality but quantity that the comedy offers.
(AS a hard of hearing person) I give the writers credit for putting those who lack empathy and only offer ignorance to handi-cap and impaired people in there place. I'm surprised that Matt Damon who's prided himself of Academy worthy performances chose the role of a conjoined twin. It's nice to see someone not always take themselves so seriously.I didn't watch the whole thing... - Ariadne
...but, I have a feeling that the 45 minutes I did watch were a pretty good reflection of what the rest of the movie would be. This movie has a great cast - Matt Damon and Greg Kinnear have proven themselves - Meryl Streep is in this movie! The concept is *very* funny and we laughed through the first 15 minutes. But with such an absurd concept, it really needs some good comedy to back it up a la Dumb and Dumber. It's too sentimental and serious for one-dimensional characters, the script is slow and movie is pedantic.
For a two-hour comedy based on silliness, the Farrelly Brothers need to quicken it, tighten it and give this great cast something better to work with than a harness, body paint and a couple of jokes.
