Meet The Feebles
"Disgusting, vile and outrageous and we mean that lovingly!" - Jami Bernard, NY Daily News
Like Jim Henson's Muppet movies, Meet the Feebles is a film starring an entire cast of puppets. However, in Meet the Feebles, Peter Jackson takes the concept of the cute puppet movie and stands on its ear. The story is set in a run-down theatre in the sleaziest part of town. This is the home of the "Feebles Variety Show," a second-rate show with a third-rate producer and no-rate performers. The producer, a cigar-chomping walrus called Bletch, finally has a chance to crack the big time. Tonight's performance is to be televised live, and if it rates well, the Feebles will get their own syndicated series. Bletch has his characters that make up the Feebles company. When you've got an incompetent, panic stricken fox as director, a rabbit in the throes of V.D. as MC, a junkie, knife-throwing frog and a rat who makes pornos in the basement with cows and cockroaches, you know it ain't gonna be easy. Things get worse for Bletch when a drug deal he sets up with a psychotic boar turns nasty and a war with Mr> Big the Whale, the undisputed king of the underwaterworld, ensues. But Bletch's biggest problem is with his long time lover, Heidi the Hippo, who has been replaced in the show with his new mistress, a Siamese pussy named Samantha. Heidi, her mental balance totally destroyed, is about to make an unannounced entrance center stage. Hell hath no fury like a scorned hippo with a machine gun...

Muppets for Adults - Morpheus
I didn't know what to expect from this film. I was intrigued that it was an early work of Peter Jackson (of Lord of the Rings fame). I was also excited that it had muppets in it ! But after the first 15 minutes, my jaw was on the floor. This was not for kids; the muppets were swearing, having sex, doing drugs... you get the idea. In short, this movie involves the day-to-day drama of a run down theater. The twist is that muppets are used, instead of human actors. The actors have all seen better days and are, in general, a selfish and dysfunctional bunch. But what great entertainment to watch them scheme and fight. I thoroughly enjoyed it and highly recommend. But again, it is not for children. That being said, adults enjoy !Fabric and Goo - industrialise
There is a minimum of fifty words needed to write a review, but the subject heading really says all that one can say. Really. This movie is fabric and goo. Lots of fabric, even more goo. Do you like fabric? Do you like goo? This movie is what you've been looking for. You can't find more fabric and goo anywhere else, trust me.
Looking for high fantasy, zombie flicks, or lesbian drama? Try Peter Jackson's other movies. There is no high fantasy, zombies, or lesbians (i think) in this one. This is just for that special someone in your life who really, really prefers fabric and goo.Peter Jackson, where are you? - mogilles
Wow, a classic indeed. Who can't laugh at Muppets on crack with VD's?
This is when Peter Jackson was keepin' it real! With horrible classics such as Dead Alive and Bad Taste under his belt, who could resist a tasteless puppet show by the master of tasteless? Not me!
Sure Lord of the Rings is a classic and showed the mainstream world what a genius and talent that Peter Jackson is, but anytime I see an Orc I know it's a direct result of these ridiculous movies he made during the infancy of his career.
Not for everyone, but if you don't like this movie then you're probably a boring movie person anyways and go rent Legally Blonde or Fast and Furious or something!
