Starsky & Hutch
One of television's most popular duos heads to the big screen in this adaptation of the popular 1970s series. Join uptight David Starsky (Ben Stiller) and laid-back Ken "Hutch" Hutchinson (Owen Wilson) as they're paired for the first time as undercover cops. The new partners must overcome their differences to solve an important case with help from street informant Huggy Bear (Snoop Dogg) and persuasive criminal Reese Feldman (Vince Vaughn).

The Essence of a Three Star - KevinJaques
Ben Stiller is a comic genius, and Owen Wilson is so affable and pleasant to watch. Jason Bateman was solid. Vince Vaughn and Snoop Dogg were both surprisingly good. It was sprinkled with hot girls. It never was hilarious though, just pleasant and amusing. A three star.
They nailed the 70s look. Check out the background. Whoever did the sets and costumes should get a raise.Hillarously funny but no plot - Marshy
This movie was one that I had to see. A Starsky & Hutch fan for years, I wanted to see how the modern movie monguls would treat one of my favorite TV shows. Well, the movie won't be classic and it didn't make me go out and purchase it but it was hillariously funny. Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson make the perfect Starsky & Hutch. But as a fan of the TV Show, I found it funny that Starsky & Hutch had seemingly switch roles in the movie. We now had Serious Starsky and Outrageous Hutch. They couldn't seem to recreate Huggy though. Snoop Dogg played his character of the outrageous Street dude to perfection but it wasn't close to the original. Neverthe less all the characters pulled off this comedy with excellent one liners and sight gags. Oh the plot. Yeah, well, I don't exactly remember that. But I will remember my favorite line "Do it". Without question it was worth my money to see as I very entertained but its not something I would want to see again.Fun to watch for the Nostalgic - Scoop
When I first heard that they were making a movie from this old TV show, I wasn’t expecting too much. I enjoyed the show as a kid but it didn’t leave me with the lasting desire to see it again.
However, when you cast Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson in the lead roles it definitely got my interest. I have been a big fan of both actors and enjoyed their movies.
I was actually really surprise when I started to watch the film on how much they pulled of the look of the characters. Ben Stiller was Starsky … the hair, the clothes, the look.
Besides the nostalgic reason, the movie was actually entertaining; not worth $12 at the movie theatre mind you, but definitely worth the rental. I didn’t like the portrayal of Hutch as the good-natured, but crooked cop but it worked well for the movie. The dry humour and quick quips between Stiller and Wilson was great. I also like the cameo appearances of the ‘originals’. A nice touch and done well.
