When two of the crooked Firpo brothers, Dave and Alvin, are released from jail, and reunited with their third partner in crime, Bill Firpo, they can't keep their hands off easy money at a poorly guarded bank in the small town of Paradise. However, once the cash has been lifted, fleeing Paradise is harder than stealing from it....

Jon Lovitz and Dana Carvey are the real stars of this film; and let's not forget their loudmouth Mother; Florence Stanley. Simple Plot. Two brothers who cannot seem to do anything legal and one who is trying to walk the line. Nicolas Cage never seems to be involved in the movie and his scenes drag the movie down. The other charaters are loveable, funny, quirky and full of misadventures that will have the young ones in stitches. Thing of Jon & Dana being Bing & Bob and Nicolas as Dorthy Lamour (what an image)! Not a great flick, but funny enough for your pre-teens and young teens.Happy Paradise - movie_goer
Remarkably entertaining, a christmas movie without being to sappy and yualtie.
Trapped in Paradise is a paradox in which we all know how the movie will turn out. Your not the least bit surprised that then ending was already set but you are blown away at how fricking funny Nicolas Cage can be... who'd have thought he was a comedian?! I recommend this movie to cheer even the biggest scroogies and grinches in your family. There's something to offer for everyone, for all ages.Happy Ho Ho - Heavan
l absolutely love this movie. Although Sare (Guelph, ON)is right about the "lake scene" being filmed in Elora, my hometown of Niagara On The Lake is renamed Paradise PA for the filming of this movie. Fergus, Toronto & Winona (Stop 50 restaurant scene)are also filming locations. The cast which l found to be the perfect choice for each of the characters did a supurb job of potraying these 3 brothers that were so different in personality yet so alike. My hometown of Niagara On The Lake was also a perfect choice to be named Paradise as that is how i always saw it and still do. This movie is a favourite in my family for obvious reasons. Christmas humour with a message and the memory of when the Firpo brothers came to our town. *Merry Christmas* :)
