Suppose They Gave A War And Nobody Came?
Tony Curtis heads a "first-rate cast" (Motion Picture Herald) in this "bright, brisk and scathingly funny" (The New York Times) comedy that pits the fed-up brass of an Army base against the fired up citizens of a nearby town!

Pretty average - MovieLover
This is a pretty average movie. Good solid cast but very improbable almost silly plot about a simmering conflict between the army and the local police force coming to the boil. It was sad to see Tom Ewell of Seven Year Itch being totally wasted. Tony Curtis is good; and Suzanne Pleshette already starting to get full figured and on the way to losing her great looks.
Tolerable.
