Hotel
With Timecode (2000), Mike Figgis developed a taste for digital cameras and the dramatic potential of the split screen, while a handful of Hollywood stars were equally turned-on by an opportunity to improvise and act on the hoof. Hotel is, in a sense, more of the same: excited filmmakers playing with their medium.
The story needs to be seen to be believed. A self-professed Dogme-style film crew, led by petulant director Trent Stoken (Ifans), is in Venice to shoot a version of Webster's gory Jacobean tragedy 'The Duchess Of Malfi'. The film's producer, Jonathan Danderdine (Schwimmer), wants to direct it himself - so has a hitman shoot Stoken. While Stoken's in a coma, Danderdine takes both the director's chair and his girlfriend (Burrows). Meanwhile, the staff of their hotel are luring guests into the basement, where they kill and eat them.

STOP! Do NOT rent this movie. Trust me. Just when you think that you've seen the worst movie of all time (i.e., Mulholland Drive), you're hit in the face with this trash. This is the worst movie that I have ever seen. Do not rent it. It's absolutely awful.I Want My Money Back! - Elephunt
from a man capable of writing and directing the tragic and wonderful Leaving Las Vegas comes an experimentation in videography that 1st year film school students would scoff at. Absolute trash. And I never call films trash. Forget about the "names" that persuade the unconvinced to rent or buy this piece of trash, it'll only hurt you in the end. The loose and ridiculous improvisations that try to pass as artful but do nothing more than insult those who do it well are horrendous to sit through...there are fine, capable actors in this one, I'm just not sure why. I only gave it 1 star because I don't know how to give Zero stars.Bad hotel - Mr_Doug
just horrible dribble - some names added just to make it even considered for a rental - dont bother.
OK you recognize the faces and hope for something to happen but it just gets worse as you hang on hoping for something. Too bad because there are some moments that make you laugh, of course BUrt Reynolds just adds to the comedy.
