One Little Indian
Clint Keyes (James Garner) is a hunted man. On the run from the U.S. Cavalry, where he faces a hangman’s noose for mutiny and desertion charges, he makes a frantic attempt to fade into the vast New Mexico countryside. His conspicuous companions are "Rosie", an ill-tempered camel from the U.S. Camel Corps; her young offspring, and a ten-year-old runaway boy (Clay O'Brien). Additional complications arise when they encounter a pioneering widow (Vera Miles) and her young daughter (Jodie Foster), who must choose between aiding the unlikely fugitives -- or hindering their desperate flight.

A Nice Little Movie - Old_Video_Man
This is like a Disney, nice guy movie opposite version of the John Wayne drama, The Searchers. It's totally lighthearted, tongue in cheek material, just perfect for James Garner. Maybe a bit predictable, but an enjoyable ride just the same, the movie features all the usual supporting actors for a 1970's western. And because it is an oater, it has aged well and is just as good and fluffy now as it was in 1973.
Keep an eye out for the 11 year old Jody Foster in this one.
