Kids
Recommended for mature audience only.
Powerful and passionate, colorful and compelling, Larry Clark's Kids is 24 frenetic hours in the life of a group of contemporary teenagers who, like all teenagers, believe they are invincible. With breathtaking images from one of the world's most renowned photographers, Kids is a deeply affecting, no-holds-barred landscape of words and images, depicting with raw honesty the experiences, attitudes and uncertainties of innocence lost. Kids gets under the skin and lingers, long after it is viewed. The kids at the core of the story are just that: teenagers living the urban melee of modern-day America. But while these kids dwell in the big city, their story could, quite possibly, happen anywhere.

If you've got teens then KIDS is a must-see... - Rachy007
As a parent, this is a must-see. We can't be everywhere at once and this movie remids you just how important it is to actually PARENT your kids. When left to their own devices, kids can get themselves into some deadly trouble. It's a sad reality but, it is a reality. I watched this movie with my 13yr old and although it was uncomfortable at times for both of us, it sparked a very open and honest conversation. We live in interesting times as this movie demonstrates and almost gives us permission to be candid and ask the tough questions, withstand the tough dialouge; Our kids are worth it.
It's worth the watch just as a conversation starter...A Look at the teen world - Mykull
I saw this thing when I was about 14 or 16, and it totally made me think about what way to go about my ways of life with being a teen. This movie is so well done.. it almost makes you feel as if your one of the gang and you hate some of your friends.. while you put up with them... and then see them come crashing down in life... and screw up their lives so easily. The story line is pretty dull.. but I think it was ment to be like that. Bottom line is a movie for the older teenagers, and adults.. with a very strong sex / drug / language feel to the whole movie.. so keep that in mind. The movie pretty much is so well done that you feel the down and depression of each teen... struggling to become cleaner and live a life that needs to be lived. A Great movieNot For Everyone - Cody
I saw this film when I was 14. I had heard about it and wanted to see it because I had heard it was really full on!! now im 25 and this movie stands out as an absolute gem. but today at 25 it is an amazing film for diffent reasons compared to when I was 14. It's just a film following a bunch of teens throughout their day...but the acting was very real the dialogue and the scenes were all mixed together in a way that made you, the viewer, just a fly on the wall. to me that quality in a movie were the actors dont seem like their acting is amazing to watch. but with Kids that aspect is enhanced with the music and the story and the characters. teens having sex?? bring it on I have no moral issue with that. teens having sex in a movie doesnt make a movie and it doesnt break a movie. some people just dont enjoy that type of thing and proceed to tell the world that this was a terrible film blah blah blah....I can only compare this movie's style to the other films that the writers and directors have made: Ken Park. Bully. Gummo. etc. of all these types of movies this one seems the most realistic.
