Emma
Cupid is armed and dangerous!
This delightfully fun and lighthearted comedy is based on the story that inspired the hit movie Clueless! Dazzling Gwyneth Paltrow shines as Emma--a mischievous young beauty who sets up her single friends. Funny thing is...she's not very good at it! So when Emma tries to find a man for Harriet, she makes a hilariously tangled mess of everyone's lives. You'll enjoy all the comic confusion...until Emma herself falls in love, finally freeing everyone from her outrageously misguided attempts at matchmaking!

Anger tempered by madness - ThePianoManII
I appreciate a decent chick flick like any guy--When Harry Met Sally, Sleepless in Seattle--aww heck, bring on Young Victoria--British accent, setting, time, etc.--it was somewhat similar to this movie in those regards, but beautifully done and true to the real story. THIS MOVIE HOWEVER is just plain annoying. Gossipy from the beginning--this is the first full length movie I've had to stop watching and pop out of the DVD player since it was so annoying, it made me angry. 15 minutes after it started! I tried! My wife, however, was enjoying it and will get it from the library so that she can take as long as she wants to return it. I want the next Zip movie already!!Comical and Classic! - MoonDust
Beautiful adaptation of Jane Austen's novel! Too often I find that, with films made from a book, you get that sense of rush-ness where the story unfolds at bullet speed, with jumps between scene, and crucial info let out. But not this time. Just the right amount of things were left out or slightly changed to make this a great movie, easy to watch, and extremely comical. This movie definitely has a spot in my favorites!Ah, if only we could all live like this! - Zanna
What a lovely movie this is! Marvelous scenery shot by a magical cinematographer and acted by superb professionals. It shows, once again, how good writing, excellent direction and great acting can succeed without mayhem, drugs, rapes and killings. Flawless performances from Paltrow, Northam and Scacchi. It makes one long to be a rich English landowner..and even more to win a bride as mischieviously entrancing as Gwyneth.
