Kids In The Hall: Tour Of Duty
Canada's favorite troublemakers reunite in a highly successful sold out tour of Canada and the United States. This DVD captured the boys live from the Queen Elizabeth Theatre in Vancouver B.C. It was shot with eleven cameras in widescreen format. The Kids perform some of their most infamous characters from their TV series as well as brand new sketches.

As a HUGE Kids fan I think i have invested the years in this troupe to give a balanced review.
I have seen them live and their great... their CBC TV show is of course one of the funniest of all time but watching them live on tape from Vancouver is in fact a tad depressing.
They've all gotten a little balder and fatter (which only reminds me how bald and fat I've gotten) and fans like myself can quote along line-for-line most of the sketches. The Kids best weapon in their arsenal was their comedic surprise, so watching them do a "greatest hits" package reduces them to trying to get laughs by exaggerated stage movements or trying to make each other crack up (a la the Carol Burnett show).
Some of the new material is pretty good (though I still submit it would have worked better on TV) and their use of video and live acting is inspired (a la Mr. Show), but this is NOT the dvd for first timers and old time fans like me will likely be left cold. See them live or on TV but not a combination of both
