Kids In The Hall: Same Guys, New Dresses
A Road Movie Directed by Dave Foley
In the tradition of classic concert cinema verite like Gimme Shelter, The Song Remains the Same and Spinal Tap comes director Dave Foley's stark raving madcap look at the 2000 Kids in the Hall reunion tour. Same Guys, New Dresses records the action on and off the stage as the five original Kids in the Hall embark on a high pressure North American campaign in an attempt to rebound as a performing group six years after the run of their successful TV series and rebound from the experience of Brain Candy, their one feature film. Foley's all access style gives Kids in the Hall fans a full- frontal look at the dynamics in the now legendary Canadian Sketch troupe as they work out new material for their sold out shows and self- manage a mosh pit of competing egos. It's a freaky, funny free- for- all that is a must for Kids in the Hall fans.

I liked it but I felt that this was a more a behind the scenes documentary than and actual Kids in the Hall episode that I could sit down and really laugh at. It was interesting to see the guys interact after being apart and some having more fame than others. The kids grew up - Jesse
I enjoyed this movie but it wasn't great because the kids have all grown up. I loved the TV series because of the chemistry the group had. The performance is funny and there is a lot of backstage footage that makes the show more interesting. The bonus features are entertaining; especially the audio commentaries. If you enjoyed the series, you will like this. Kids in the Hall: Brain Candy is hilarious! Check that out as well.
Cheers
