Fun, but not for everyone. - TJS-
I only saw this film because it contained the talents of Harvey Keitel & Cameron Diaz, but wasn't really expecting much as I had heard nothing about this movie. I was pleasantly surprised to find it very entertaining and down right funny in parts. Plenty of twists and turns along the way make this movie even more fun. Cameron shines in her roll as a troubled young woman trying to put her life back on track when suddenly, during a vacation at her new boyfriend's (and a judge) cottage, and through no fault of her own, her past comes back to pounce on her.
Not for everyone, but if you enjoy a good black comedy every once in awhile like i do, then you won't be disapointed by 'Head Above Water'.Head above water - Rico1
If you like the genre of dark comedy you might want to see this one it involves a mystery centering around a respectable judge (The always excellent Keitel), his wife(Diaz), her ex-lover(Zane), their neighbor and a corpse that complicates all.It's a interesting story with lots of irony and lots unpredictable twist's and things keep going from bad to worse all because of a questionable decision made at the beginning of the movie.If you like (Diaz's)work, you might want to see it for yourself as i did. 3/5 stars
